Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

The ear and the nose, throat are inter connected, accumulation of water in the ear cavity is common which comes out itself most often but this may trigger nasal blocks , leading to sinusitis as well as headache, ear infection, etc.

She could cover her ears with cotton pads when she takes bath and make sure that water does not enter her ear. She must tilt the head to place the ear cavity facing the ground for 2 mins after bath .She could also try a hair dryer for a few mins aroud the ear so that hot air will help in getting the water out.

For nasal congestion you could use Nasivion drops 2 drops when the nose gets blocked

Wish you good Health

Hi Shadiq,

Welcome again to HealthcareMagic Forum
Your wife must be suffering from allergic problems also, I suppose. Please get her examined by a good ENT specialist. Secondly, ear pain is because of her nasal block and not because of water entering into the ears. There is a tube connecting nose and the ear (eustachian tube), whenever there is nasal block the nasal side of the opening of this tube gets blocked. As the block continues for a long time there is negative pressure created inside the middle ear causing earache. Headache is due to nasal block and sinus obstruction. I would advice you again to consult your ENT specialist and meanwhile encourage her to take steam inhalation, drink plenty of warm water and continue using saline nasal drops.
Take care

Regards
