What Is The Meaning Of 'left Basal Pneumonia' On Chest X-ray?
Hi, I am 46 years old. Last week I was confined at the hospital due to cough with greenish sputum with on and off fever. C-xray done with left lower lobe pneumonia. I was discharge after 3 days with take home medications. Doctor advised me to repeat c-xray. result was with left basal pnemonia. What does it means?
Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM. Read and reviewed query. Based on facts of your query, You seem to suffer from- Left Basal Pneumonia. Meaning is that the Left lower Lobe-basal segments are involved and not apical segment.T These basal segments in lower lobe- are ant/ post/ lateral basal segments ,which are involved in this case. Left Lower Lobe involves 4 segements-with above 3 , Apical is 4th segement, which is not involved and hence Left Basal -3 (ant/post/ lateral)Segments Follow this to recover soon. Hope this would resolve your health issues early Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day !!
