hi, i was diagnosed with idc stage 1 last year no lymph node involvement.rads and arimidex. right side. i now have a lump on left fore arm has been there about 10 weeks growing slightly. one doc says its ok only a ganglion other doc says i should see a surgeon to investigate.what is your opinion i am 50 years old.
Its hard to say not being able to see it. If the lump is hard and in the vein area, your forearm is larger than the other one (swollen), veins thrombosis can be the reason. If the lump is soft and bit tender, present close to the wrist, ganglioncyst is a possibility. Veins thrombosis is a serious diagnosis and can not be left alone. That is why it would be reasonable to consult general surgeon.
Hope this will help. Regards.
