What Is The Dosage Of Polybionsf And Monocef-050 To A 2 Year Old And Does It Have Any Side Effects?

my baby is of 2yr 7 m she has fever since 3 days.today temp is 98 deg c,but she is sleepy since yesterday.not taking any diet ,we trying to give some juices.doctor has suggested 2 syrups Polybionsf,monocef-o50.please advice about usage of these syrups and their sideeffects.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

As your child is having fever for last three days and not taking the food properly, it suggests me that your child is may be having some infections which should be confirmed by proper history and physical examination.

Your doctor has prescribed two syrups i.e Polybion sf,monocef- O 50, These are multivitamin syrup which should be give 2.5 ml once daily and antibiotic syrup which is having Cefpodoxime Proxetil 50 mg, 5 ml should be given twice daily.

These syrup can reduce the infection and boost up the immunity to fight against the infection. In addition to this I would suggest you to give syrup Dolo 125, 2.5 ml once in 8th hour, which will suffice the antibiotics and helps to reduce the fever.
