What Is The Cause Of Red, Swollen With A Hard Lump On The Right Testicle?

My husband had an inguinal hernia repair 2 days ago. His Right Testicle is very red and swollen with a hard lump ( the repair was on the right side). Is this normal? We are unable to get ahold of his surgeon and we dont know if we should be going to the ER. It is approximately golf ball size and warm to touch.

Hi.
This is not normal.
You should go to ER. This can be a hematoma and if infected can cause a big problem. Continue your antibiotics and other medicines. Clinical examination will help to know the cause and the treatment will depend upon this.
