What Is The Cause Of Chest Pain?

I have been experiencing a sharp squeezing pain on my left side of chest and I sometimes get a constant heart burn which last days on end ? I have been experiencing these symptoms for 4 years now and everytime I go to a doctor they always dismiss it and say I m stressed even though I m not is this something to worry about ??

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you should consult cardiologist and get done
1. ECG
2. 2d echo
3. Stress test
To rule out cardiac cause.
If all of the above are normal then no need to worry much for cardiac cause.
Anxiety can also cause chest pain and heart burn.
Anxiety actually causes GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). So better control of anxiety is needed in your case.
So consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressors in your life and start working on its solution.
Start proton pump inhibitor for GERD.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
