General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
The symptoms you have been describing are classical of an external hemorrhoid. You need to consult with a general surgeon and get it looked at. There are a few preventive measures you need to take meanwhile like increasing more fiber in your diet. The more fiber you take the lesser will the inflammation in the bowel be and it is also known to decrease the itching in the perineal area. Also you can have sitz baths more frequently. There are commercially available tubs for that purpose which will help in alleviating the pain. Hope this has answered your question.
