Cut out animal fats as far as possible, use olive oil in cookiung (high in "good" cholesterol) and eat oat bran, porridge oats and other high fibre foods which absorb the cholesterol from the intestines. Also cinnamon is said to help reduce the total cholesterol naturally.
Exercise, quit smoking and drink a glass of wine a day (well actually thats more helpful to the heart but its also very nice! lol)...:D

I am 61 years, 163 Cm, 70 kg. Angioplasty was done in 2005 and due stent problem again in 2011. I take statins (10 mg once a day) since 2005. I am on statins in fits and starts. They affect my eyes, which water like mad sometimes, they also have a profound affect on my vision.
