Hello Claudia,

Aricept is Donepezil hydrochloride, which helps in improving the function of nerve cells (memory, thinking and reasoning). Its used to treat mild to moderate dementia due to Alzheimers. Its beneficial role in aggressive behavior is still not clear. According to NICE guidelines, view of the carer is more important while prescribing drugs and dosage is increased slowly based on symptomatic response.

The treatment schedule and history is not mentioned. Remember drugs are potential poisons and overdose can have severe side effects. If you still think the above symptoms have not improved, discuss with the concerned physician and the carer again. Remember Aricept does not have any role in aggressive behavior.

Hope I have answered your query, If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help
