What Is Acute Mucosal Disease?

My sister was just diagnosed with Acute Mucosal disease within the ethmoid air cells after an MRI - she has been suffering (and has a history of suffering) acute migraines with vision and hearing impairment - can you please tell me what Mucosal disease is and if it is related to migraines?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your sister must be having problems relating to headaches. The MRI scan shows little bit of inflammation in the mucosal layer lining the ethmoid air sinus. It is a medical condition which is usually controlled by medications. Migraines are headaches due to many reasons. The mucosal disease is responsible for sinus headache.

Migraine headache causes one or more symptoms as below
If your headache interferes with your life.
If your headache makes you adjust your daily schedule, lie down, or miss work or school.
If your headache makes you sick to your stomach.
If your headache is often throbbing and one-sided.
If your headache gets worse with activities such as bending over or going up stairs.
If your headache makes you sensitive to strong light, noise, strong odors, or sudden movements.
