What Is A Tension Headache ?

Hello, im a 24 year old male and having these come and go headaches for about 2 months now. The headaches arent really painful, almost feels like a sensation in the blood vessels on my head. Dont really have a history of headaches just 1 or 2 every once in a while. I have had a lot of changes in my life recently, for example: new job promotion, new relationship, parental issues at times. I have the symptoms associated with tension headaches and i dont take any medications for them. basically the symptoms i have are throbbing and mild headaches that come and go quickly.

Dear Youngman I would like to discuss in few words about headache before I try to answer your quiry. Headaches basically are two types (1)Primary (2) Secondary. Primary headaches are (I) Migraine (II) Tension headache. Secondary headache are(a) Harmless eg pain comming from neck muscles, excessive intake of pain killer(b)Cause for concern when headache is of rapid onset and with neckstiffness tends to get worse quickly, with or with out high fever vomiting and confusions, associated weakness of the limbs. I do not want to discuss the causes because these are irrelavant in your condition. In my opinion you are most likely is suffering from "Tension headache." I think it will settle and resolve itself in time. Kindest regards.
