Hi,

Yellowish discoloration at the incision site after a tummy tuck could be a sign of an infection. Itching above the incision could also be a sign of an infection or an allergic reaction. Drainage from the incision site is also a concerning sign and could indicate that the wound is not healing properly.

It's important to contact your surgeon immediately and inform them about your symptoms. They may want to see you in person to evaluate the incision site and determine if any treatment is necessary, such as antibiotics or drainage of any collections. In the meantime, keep the incision site clean and dry, and avoid touching or scratching it. Follow your surgeon's instructions for wound care and take any prescribed medications as directed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

You have had a tummy tuck thereafter you are experiencing yellow pallor at the incision site. It is a common side effect that many experience. Get it get clinically examined by a your treating to detect if it is wound dehiscence or seroma formation. Seroma is fluid accumulation between the layers of the skin. Your doctor will drain the fluid via a needle inserted into the skin, this may lead to several follow-up visits.

Wound dehiscence occurs when the wound starts to open up, most often due to tension on the incision. This occurs due to too-tight closure or if a patient experiences a lot of swelling that further increases the tension. Small wound dehiscence can be treated by local wound care and changing of wet and dry dressings.

Larger areas may need a skin graft or treated with vacuum dressing. Before tummy tuck you should quit smoking as smoking causes poor vascularity of the skin. It can also cause slow wound healing. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
