Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor Please clarify the below mentioned report is normal Prostate measures 3 x 3.3 x 2.6 cm (13.6 cc). It is normal in size and shows homogeneous appearance. There is a 0.8 cm cyst in the midline, possibly a prostatic utricle cyst. Seminal vesicles are grossly unremarkable. IMPRESSION: Small prostatic utricle cyst.
Part of the urethra (the tube through with urine and semen pass through), is in the prostate. There is a small indentation in the prostatic urethra called the utricle. This is normally present.
In some persons, this area can be wider than normal forming a cyst. In your case, they note that it is small. This may not be associated with symptoms or cause problems in many persons.
It would only be treated if problems occur.
I hope this helps
