Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My brother s ultrasound showed right kidney 111 into 37mm with thickness of 15mm. Left kidney 109 into 51mm with thickness of 17mm. Both have normal axis, no stone or hydronephrosis, no perinephric abnormality. Creatinine is 1.12 Bilateral raised (grade2) renal parechymal echogenicity. Trace pelvic ascites. Need Suggestions please.
Based on the history you have shared, though no gross renal pathology is present still increased echogenecity needs to be evaluated, further.
Though creatinine is borderline but higher for his age, and must be evaluated for renal parenchymal disease and 24 hour protien estimation may be needed. Renal biopsy may also be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
