What Does This Trans Vaginal Scan Indicate?

I had my last menses on 15th December 2013, as per which I am 8 weeks 2 days pregnant today. I previously had inconsistent periods, so my Doctor said it can be delayed conception. I went for my Trans Vaginal scan today, which said GA of approx 6 weeks 1 day, crown rump length 0.51 cm, yolk sac and fetal pole are well visualized, however cardiac activity not visualized within fetal pole. I am really worried and I desperately want this pregnancy to grow. Please help

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is gestational sac with yolk sac and foetal pole - which is more towards normal pregnancy.
2.All the parameters are corresponding to 6 weeks and your LMP is 8 weeks - difference of two weeks is normally accepted.
3.Normally by 5-6 weeks trans vaginally and 6-7 weeks trans abdominally the heart beat is seen.
4.In your case there is nothing wrong - you may get it seen in a week time, which is very normal.
5.In this case i would recommend to get a followup scan in 1 week to 10 days for foetal viability.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
