What Does This Stool Test Results Indicate?

Hi, i have been suffering for 5 days already blood in the stool my lab result is as follows: Color: brown, Consistency: semi formed, RBC 20-25 hpf, Pus Cells 1-3 HPF, mucus not seen, Ova parasites not seen, Blood occult positive. what is the meaning of this. thank you very much im very much worried.

These results indicate that there is blood in your stool. Typically, stool should not contain blood. The Ova and Parasites being negative indicates that the blood in stool is most likely not due to an infection. More common causes would be bleeding internal hemorrhoids or an anal fissure which is a tear in the skin at the end of your digestive tract. I would recommend ensuring that you are not constipated or straining to hard when going to the bathroom and following up with the physician that ordered this tests for additional treatment if this wasn't caused by constipation.
