What Does This Brain MRI Indicate?

My child is one year old., and he had a IVF Grade 3 and a premature baby. We have done MRI Brain yesterday, and the findings are ......
1. Paucity of the white matter noted in both cerebral hemispheres
2. Mild to moderate dilation of the 3rd and both lateral ventricles noted.
3. Irregular gliosis in left fronto-pariental periventricular region......

Can I have a sense of what all these will result in ??

Hello,
Wellcome to HCM
The child is showing features of developmental abnormality and there are good amount of chances that the child will be lagging in development.
These features are common in IVP born children especially when they are premature.
It is less likely that the baby will catch up the development with his normal counterparts.
White matter is very important in the brain which is showing paucity.
Also there is dilatation of the ventricles which tells that there is hydrocephalus in the child.
It is advised to consult with specialist paediatrician.
I have answered your query.
Hope it helps for the better of your child.
