What Does The Result Showing :"Volume- 3.0 > 2.0mL, Concentration- 22 > 20 Mil/mL, Motility-70, Forward Progression-3" Indicate?
Hello Doctor,
My husband and I are at the beginning stages of IVF. We just received his semen analysis results, but there is no one available to tell us what they mean. This is what the report shows: Volume- 3.0 > 2.0mL, Concentration- 22 > 20 Mil/mL, Motility-70, Forward Progression-3, total Motile Count- 7.6, Gross Morphology-35, Result-Negative, Counted-100. I suppose the part that concerns me most is where it says "Negative", but I'm not sure. Can you please let me know if this means everything is ok? Thank you in advance!

I really appreciate your concern, this is case of oligospermia, this means the over all parameters of semen are not satisfactory for conception first the volume it is very low, and other values are also not in normal range with this semen the chances of conception is minimal (not nil or absent, just a single sperm required for conception ) so keep trying, and forget the report, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
