hi, good day doc! my lab result of my son 8yrs old his peripheral bld smear result is smear show hypochromic rbc w/ anisopoikilocytosi in the form of echinocytes and schistocytes? Pls. what is this and what vitamins can u recommend for my son. i worried so much ! thanks and Godbless

May it is due to iron deficiency.but you should perform a osmotic fragility test, coomb test and a Hb electrophoresis.
