What Does The MRI Report Indicate?
lumbosacral spine,theL5-S1 disc dessication and diffuse posterior bulge are seen causing indentation on bilateral trarversing and exiting nerve roots and small marginal are seen at multiple level, means what? Can it be cured? completely coz they say it was caught early? 24yrs old. On some kind of medication. Thanks in advance.

According to MRI report you have degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine.
Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis which allows herniation of disc.
1.AT L5-S1 level there is water loss from discs associated with diffuse posterior bulge causing indentation on bilateral traversing and exiting nerve roots.
There are also marginal osteophytes at multiple level,these are bony outgrowths at the margins.
Treatment for degenerative lumbar disease includes physiotherapy or surgery.
Effectiveness of both modalities are same.So,physiotherpay should be tried first. It causes strengthening of Para spinal muscles and it prevents further changes.
Surgery should be the last option.
There are also medicines like capsule pregabalin available for pain relief.
Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurosurgeon.
