What Does Severe Cramps Followed By Watery Stools With Traces Of Blood Mean?

I had severe cramps this morning. I finally had a bowel movement that ended in the water step. I have had three small water movements that had blood in them. The first was like a clot but the last two are lose. the period between them is several hours. I placed paper in the tolit bowl to see if I am passind a clot or loss blood. I am 74 years old and had a colonoscopy in the last year. I was checked for diverticulitis(sp) in June this year.

Intestinal infection like ulcerative colitis or chons disease may cause blood in stool problems.

You mention that diverticulitis is not present.
It is one of cause for blood in stool.

Intestinal poly may ruled out.
Anal fissure or hemorroids are also cause blood in stool.
Gastritis ir gastric ulcer cause a blood in stool.

Consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
Stool examination test is helpful.
Abdominal ultrasound sonography is helpful for further diagnosis.
