whenever i get really upset I feel pressure in the lower part of the back of my head into my neck and it s like my head is being thrown back and forth. I become nauseous and at times black out. During these black outs I have fits of rage without my knowledge. what could cause these symptoms ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pressure over the base of the head may be due to cervical muscle spasm or occipital neuralgia or tension headache or raised intracranial pressure, etc. Avoid head end elevation during sleeping, use water vapor inhalation and cold compression. Use muscle relaxant, do yoga, and meditation.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
