Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. Have had following symptoms for quite some time. Pressure in my head, mostly just above my ears and at bottom of my head, just where meets base of my neck. Also have been diagnosed with benign essential tremmors but I feel like I tremble all the time, my entire body...any suggestions?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
If the headache you have is a band like pain around your hand like tightness and does not cause problems with lights or noise when you have it, very likely you are having what we call tension headache which is headache due to the tension of the muscles that attach from the neck and the tendons over the scalp area. It is a very common condition and generally paracetamol and ibuprofen are quite effective to treat it. Local warm compresses and soft massage of the neck muscles might help as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
