What Does Narrowing Of Knee Mean And How To Treat It?

Hi, I've had problems with my knees over the past 5 years. It got worst though 3 years ago. I had an arthiscopy done back inNov, 2008.It didn't seem to really help I was still in major pain so I had to have a MRI done and he said that I needed an oats done. On Oct. 6th 2009 my doctor went in to do it and saw that the original arthiscopy surgery didn't even heal inside, so he ended up doing a double oats instead. I have had done so much pt over the years for so many problems and I mean alot, that it make my bad knee hurt wosrt instead of stronger. I've been in so much pain, throbbing, jerking, and sometimes it wants to shift out of place, or dislocate itself. So I had exrays done and it the doctor says that I have narrowing of the knee. She didn't go into detail about what that meant . Can you tell ? Can you also tell what can be done ?
