sir, just got my childs xray report wherein it is stated that prominent bronchovascular patttern in bilateral lung fields besides subtle non homogeneous patch air space opasities seen involving bilateral upper zones right more than left. what the diagnose is related to
Prominent broncho vascular markings in chest x-ray usually indicate
1. An allergic reaction of lungs (could be dust or anything) or
2. Infection of the lung. Non-homogeneous opacities with airspace usually indicates lung infection.
But usually, the findings in chest x-ray needs to be correlated with clinical findings. If clinical findings and x-ray findings are correlated then needs to be started on nebulization if necessary Antibiotics. Please consult your primary care physician for further management.
