Hi, Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic. Intense tracer uptake in a known case of cancer suggests evidence of metastasis in those areas. Those areas are showing increased metabolism so they show increased tracer uptake. In your mother s case, there is evidence of increased uptake in clavicle, vertebrae and sacroiliac joint so it suggests that there is presence of metastasis over there and there is spread of the disease involving these bones. You should get your mother evaluated by an oncologist and depending on other tests/staging the oncologist will advise further management. It will require treatment with chemo/radiation.
