What Does Haemorrhagic Membranous Tissue Bits On Biopsy After D&C Suggest?

Hi! I am 27 years and recently had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks of my pregnancy. However fetal demise occured in the 9th week itself. I underwent a D&C procedure and had the biopsy done. The report says sections show decidua, blood clots, membranes and numerous chorionic villi. No hydropic change or abnormal trophoblastic proliferation is seen. Multiple greyish brown to haemorrhagic membraneous tissue bits all together measuring 5*5*2 cm 4 blocks (AtoD)

Hi, thanks for writing..
It means there is some retained products of conception with blood clots. There is no abnormality like molar pregnancy. So neednot worry about the report. It is normal. If you have repeated miscarriage get a APLA screening. Hope I have answered your query. Good day
