my brother's CT scan report:

study reveals encephalomalacic/gliotic changes involving bilateral franto temporal region with exvacuo dilatation of bilateral lateral ventricle-?

sequele of hypoxic ischaemic injury.



sir please tell is this disease curable or not ?

Hello

Encephalomalasia/gliosis causes loss of brain parenchyma and sorry to inform you that this irreversible.Findings are due to decreased blood supply in brain and this is called as hypoxic ischemic injury.It may be due to many reasons.
Patient need rehabilitation therapy.
If there is behavior or other abnormality,patient can be trained by a professional.
