What Does A Red Rash From Face To Feet Of An Infant Indicate?

my 2 year old has had a red rash from his face to his feet that looks similar to roseola. I put a glass to the skin and can still see the rash through the glass. He also has diarrhea for the past week. He s a very active toddler, but the past week gets tired easily and then gets angry and when he does fall asleep he shakes in his sleep, but his temperature is normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to roseola. It is a viral infection, so there is no specific treatment for roseola. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Tylenol to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using Calamine lotion to relieve the rash.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
