What Does A Bruised Spot On The Left Eye Indicate?

I am taking 500mg ciprofloxin 2x daily. started mon to treat bacterial infection. I just noticed large bruise spot on left eye about .5 x .5 inch. There has been no eye trauma. No effect to vision. I also take 81mg baby aspirin and 25 mg atenolol daily along with some vitamins. Is eye bruise related to the cipro

Hi,

The bruise cannot be because of ciprofloxacin antibiotic. You might have some unnoticed trauma over eye area, so bruise present. You can apply ice wrapped cloth over affected area. An anti-inflammatory drug prescribed only if pain and swelling present. If it doesn't resolve in a week then further workup was done like complete blood count, PT, APTT estimation etc.
