What Does MRI 'left Knee Is Diffused With A Questionable Positive McDonald's Murray' Mean?
Hello. Injured my left knee (internal knee derrangement) my job in 2010, had surgery. Knee gave out in October 2013 and I feel (low grade sprain now). Also, MIR showing some meniscus issues both medial and lateral meniscus, both posterior horn.
Lower extremity: left knee is diffused with a questionable positive McDonald's Murray.
Questions: What as t does this mean? Can I file for medical disability retirement
McMurray's sign is a clinical test elicited by grinding the tibia against the femur to test for meniscus injury. It is done by making the patient lay down on the bed.
Your condition is curable by surgery as meniscus tears do not heal on their own. Kindly contact an Arthroscopic surgeon and get the torn meniscus repaired or removed.
Delaying the inevitable will only cause further extension of the tears. Surgery is to be followed by a strict physiotherapy protocol for complete recovery.
I hope my advice has helped Good luck
