Hello!
I have been through your question.
According your question you should know that measuring glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), clinicians are able to get an overall picture of what our average blood sugar levels have been over a period of weeks/months. For people with diabetes this is important as the higher the HbA1c, the greater the risk of developing diabetes-related complications. If your blood sugar levels have been high in recent weeks, your HbA1c will also be greater. So in your case you have HbA1c 6.2 ( norms 5.7% to 6.4%) which indicate that you have prediabetes and need a consult with diabetologist. You should know that before people develop type 2 diabetes, they almost always have "prediabetes" blood glucose levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. There's good news, however that progression from prediabetes to type 2 diabetes isn't inevitable. You have to be aware of what can help bring your blood sugar level back to norma is eating healthy foods, making a lots of physical activity in your daily routine and maintaining a healthy weight. Furthermore you should be checked for type 2 diabetes every one to two years.
I hope my answer help you.
