What Do Mild Abdominal Cramps And Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?

I have had some issues with my period the past 4-5 months with heavy bleeding and actually went to the ER when it started 5 months ago, they said it was dysfunctional uterine bleeding and treated it with ibuprofen. I got my period thursday and but this morning it was hardly any bleeding or anything at all then I showered and about 4 hours later there is bright red blood and I have some very mild cramps.Is this something I should go to the ER for or call my OB/GYN tomorrow? can this be something serious Thank you

Hello,

You are already suffering from dysfunctional uterine bleeding. It may be due to many causes. A hot bath may induce bleeding by dilating the blood vessels.

It may be due to endometriosis or polyps or fibroids or PID.

Get it done ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. Use tablet tranexamic acid with mefenamic acid.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
