What Could Spotting After A Bowel Movement Suggest?

Hello there. I am 27yrs old and I wanted to know why I have spotting after straining my self while having a bowel movement, lifting something heavy or having intercourse? One year ago I did have one abnormal papsmear and about five years ago I had a vaginal ultrasound and was told I had some uterin fibroids. Also during my pregnancy I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Could this all be related some how?

Hello,

Uterine fibroids, PID or cervical erosion or implantation or oral contraceptives may cause spotting.

So you may check once again exact cause from history and examination. It may be normal after vigorous intercourse with mucosal tears etc.

Please consult your gynaecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
