What Could Severe Pain And Tingling In Left Thigh, Worsened While Walking Or Standing Be?
I have major pain and tingling in my left thigh most of the time it is worse when I try to stand any more than 2 or 3 minutes it also gets worse when I walk . Sometimes it feels like when you go to the dentist and the freezing is coming out. I do not have any lower back pain and it is only on the front of my thigh it does not go down the leg . I have had this for many years but it seems to be getting worse. I do not believe it is a sciatic nerve problem by reading the symtoms
There could be 2 reasons for this pain. 1. Meralgia Paresthetica......meaning pressure on the nerve on the anterolateral side of upper thigh caused by wearing tight undergarments or trousers around the waistline. 2. A spinal disc related problem causing compression to the adjoining nerve root .
Kindly start by getting MRI of spine done. Start with nerve pain suppressing drugs like Pregablin and Duloxetine . Anti inflammatory like Etoricoxib will help.
Remaining treatment will depend on results report.
I hope my advice has helped. Good luck.
