Hi,

Pesudotumour cerebri is not a tumour by itself. Your headache and visual disturbances may be due increased CSF. Pseudotumor cerebri is a condition where there is excess Cerebrospinal fluid which protects the brain and spinal cord from injury, will increase the pressure in the brain and affects the optic nerve. Optic nerve damage may results in visual blurring at the early stage up to vision loss at the end stage.

The cause for increased cerebro-spinal fluid maybe due to increased production or decreased drainage. If the condition no controlled by drugs, surgery is the only option. Shunting is made to drain the cerebro-spinal fluid. Reduce your weight, if you are obese. Do not do strenuous exercises, which may increase the pressure in the brain. Limit the quantity of fluid intake. Try to restrict the level of salt in your diet. These steps will reduce the amount of CSF secreted.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
