What Could Frequent Urination With Stomach Pain Suggest?

hi, I have been going to the toilet a lot for 3 days now (about twice every half hr)... not doing much but feel as if something is pushing on my bladder after that I feel instant pain with the last drop/s .. Yesterday night I got up twice to use the toilet but then started to get splitting pain on the right side of my stomach.. After taking powerful painkillers and drinking lots of water it just stopped.. I had this side pain a couple of weeks ago when I was fasting and was told it’s because I was not drinking enough water. My husband had the toilet problem himself a couple of weeks ago but it was not painful. Did I catch something from him?? And why am I getting this pain?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This is suggestive of uronfection or stones. I suggest next: drink plenty of liquids.

Cranberry sachet once daily in a glass of drinking water, organic citrus fruits, vitamin C supplements help a lot.

Necessary antibiotics, urinary alkalisers, anti-inflammatory medications require the prescription of your doctor ( who may decide depending upon your evaluation with required blood and urine tests ).

Keep the genitals clean with antiseptic liquids, dry. Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears. Avoid exposure to excess heat.

Avoid smoking, alcohol if using. Keep blood sugar under control. Avoid sexual intercourse ( if active ) till recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
