What Could Elevated Patches Of Skin On Elbow Be?

I found 2 small patches of dry skin on my left elbow. They are about the size of a pea. They are slightly elevated from the skin on my elbow. They don t itch. I put medicated lotion on them and they just got less ashy. How do I get rid of them? If I keep putting on the medicated lotion will they go away?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you have eczema. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a potent steroid cream like clobetasol cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
