What Could Cause Vaginal Discharge?

Hi, it's a week before my period is due and I have been experiencing a lot of vaginal discharge (white in my knickers but generally like egg white but loads of it!) I've also had mild diarrhoea the last two days. Is there anything I should be concerned about, could it mean anything?

Hello,

While using contraceptive pills some amount of menstrual irregularities like intermenstrual spotting, decreased menstrual flow, amenorrhea, etc. can be seen due to the reproductive hormonal fluctuations.

Corenza-c containing paracetamol, phenylephrine and vitamin C may not interfere with the periods usually.

But sickness like cold, etc. can affect the general systemic functions of the body and thereby reproductive hormonal balance and can lead to little menstrual irregularity.

This irregularity may subside soon in the next few months without the need of any specific medication, when the reproductive hormonal balance is achieved.

General measures that can help in regularization of menstrual cycles are regular calorie burning exercises, healthy balanced diet and normal body mass index.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
