What Could Cause Swelling On The Left Side Of The Face While On Zyrtec?

My son woke up with the left side of his face swollen around his nose and eye, he does have allergies and rook some over the counter medications for allergies, zyrtec and he took one at 6 but before that he took 2 others which was the dose, would that be allergies and the shaking be the cause of the medications

Hi,

Symptoms are suggestive of allergic reaction due to tick or bee bite. Zyrtec is an antiallergic drug however it can cause much sedation. Besides here Injection is required for the quick effect.

So I prefer to give injection pheniramine after that start tablet Levocetirizine twice daily and prednisolone 10 mg at night for 5 days.

If symptoms do not improve after 2 days, consult a physician for further evaluation.
