What Could Cause Pain In Upper Thigh After Hip Replacement Surgery?

Hello, I had a right hip replacement back on July 2, 2014. My hip is fine, no problem. But my right upper thigh is having some pain. On a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is about a 7 (sometimes maybe a 9). My leg when walking may give out alittle. My surgeon took x-rays and everything looks fine. What could it be?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the upper thigh after a hip replacement could be due to a loose prosthesis or a muscular strain. A direct examination is needed to find out the cause.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
