What Could Cause Headache?

Hello, I'm getting a sharp throbbing pain in my head which comes and goes every 10-15seconds, it has been continually throbbing since Saturday gone and I am starting to feel very sickly with the pain as well. Do you think it is just a minor pain or something major?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You have throbbing headache ....
If it is unilateral and associated symptoms like nausea, photophobia or phonophobia present then it could be migraine .
For which ibuprofen first given for pain relief....
If no relief then rizatriptan tablet needed....
As pain is throbbing it is not simple tension headache as you are suspecting....

If autonomic symptoms present like conjunctivitis or rhinitis etc then neuralgic pain could be there for which steroid given...

Here consult physician for examination and measuring blood pressure also ....

Avoid stress....
Topical basil leaves oil application useful.

Take care
