What Could Bilirubin Levels In The Report Suggest?

Doctor Sir,My son aged 19 years has following readings : bilirubin ( 13 oct 2013)2.08/2.16/2.72/1.64/5.28(Jaundice detected)/4.2/1.69/2.1/2.08/2.23/2.94/3.09 (latest 14 oct 2014) and SGPT (13 oct 2013)124/148/112/106/2442/2276/646/260/192/129/101/88/84(LATEST 14 OCT 2014) . Kindly guide what these readings are indicating . Is is highly worrying. THANKS PL REPLY REMEDY.

hello there,
Your son most probably had hepatitis A or a Hepatitis co-infection which is resolving . It is not worrying as it is treated with bed rest, plenty of fluids and avoiding fat in diet, having a carbohydrate rich diet . he might have picked up hepatitis by drinking contaminated water or eating contaminated food.
