What Could Be The Reason For Having Red Dots On My Nose Line?

Hi, i have these little 3 red dots on lined up right under my nose on my nose line, and about almost 2 months ago, the three bumps looked like little craters which i healed with a medicine my mom gave me. But even though the crater looking dots went away, there are still red dots on my nose line! It looks like it has healed, but it has been on my nose for a very long time now and is bothering my appearance alot. Please help

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of post inflammatory erythema and dyspigmentation (hyperpigmenation) secondary to a possible herpes labialis episode.

I usually ask my patients to apply a kojic acid containing cream twice daily for any hyperpigmentation. Steroid based cream work well for hyperpigmentation as well as hypopigmentation but they are usually avoided for fear of flaring up an episode of herpes

An oral Vit C supplement once daily also helps.

take care
regards
