What Could Be The Reason For Bloating, Pain Under Rib Cage After Eating?

Pain under the left rib cage especially after having something to eat. Feels like bloating and wind trapped in the area. Gentle rubbing of the area seems to help relieved the soreness for a short while. Constantly returns after eating any food or drinks such as coffee or tea.

Hello,

You may be suffering from acid reflux or hiatal hernia.

You have to avoid spicy food, avoid smoking and alcohol consumption and caffeine drinks.

Use tablet pantoprazole.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroenterologist he will do upper GI endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
