I have a pretty large white spot on the tip of my tounge and it is numb most of the time but extremely painful to apply pressure too.. Been there for about to weeks with no change better or worse. any idea what this might be. I used to use chewing tobacco for years and smoked for 20 years, hoping its not mouth cancer

Hi and thanks for the query,
White patches are very common in smokers and tobacco chewers.
You will require a biopsy to rule out cancer.
Regards, Dr Kishori.
