Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain And Jaw Ache

Hello I have actually chewed for about 1-3 times a day. So a can a chew would last me a week if not longer. I have only been going constantly for about 1 1 2 years and I have started slowing down a lot. However last weekend I had a really bad jaw pain and earache. Now the both are gone but it feels I have something bothering me on the left side of my tongue. I look at it and I don t see a thing. I m just worried, could this be oral cancer? Thank you for your time!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Ear and jaw pain may occur from a Temporo mandibular joint disorder.
Facial pain and ear discomfort are the most common complaints of this condition.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest using cold compresses at the joint area.
If the symptoms continue, you should see an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
