What Could Be The Cause Of Pain After Cordisone Shot?

I am 51 and recently had xrays on elbow a cordisone shot was given it was better for about 30 days and started hurting again my hand also hurt both our my right arm. xrays dr. said was tendonitis and I have cysts on hand but not given any info on that what can be causeing this?

There is a common side-effect of cortisone shots called a cortisone flare. A cortisone flare can cause an increase in symptoms in the first 24-48 hours after a cortisone injection. The good news is that there are treatments for a cortisone flare, and the symptoms usually subside within a few days.
