What Could Be The Cause Of Hard Lump On Inside Of Left Ankle?

I have a hard lump on the inside of my left ankle which is very tender and has a pain similar to a bruise. There is no visible bruising and it is very tender to the touch. I have not knocked it or fallen or injured it in any obvious way. What could be causing this?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed furuncles.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Initially these are hard but later become an abscess.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
