Yes, Hi! When i was in 12th grade [1973] i had my tonsils removed because i had these pockets or holes in them that would constantly have food or pus in them which i would remove with a q-tip. Being a teenager i never asked what caused this, figured it was taken care of, now at the age of 56, i ve been having this annoying feeling in my the back of my mouth, upper throat like there are spots or something there, the other day my husband finally looked with a flashlight and said there was a white spot there, yesterday i didn t feel it and today it is bothersome again, annoying me, looked myself with flashlight and see one whitespot on the side of the uvula and looks like other small ulcerated areas on the other side. Is this serious, should i see a specialist or will it go away with gargling?
